Software Test/Development Engineer

About me

Welcome to my personal website.

My name is Florian Brenner and I am a 30-year old Software Test/Development Engineer with a Master’s degree in Computer Science and an ISTQB certificate.

I have had a keen interest in IT since I was very young, learning Excel basics as a 5-year old from my father, playing Age of Empires and Nintendo 64 with friends and buying my own PC when I was 9. Since then, I have always thrived to understand the technology, find meaningful applications, solve problems and improve the status quo.

This culminated in me doing my Bachelor’s in an integrated degree program (studying and working in parallel) with 18 and then starting work as a Software Development Engineer and later Software Test Engineer at Nokia. I decided to extend my theoretical knowledge by doing my Master’s in the same manner. Thus, I was able to write my Master thesis at Nokia, where I improved an existing test management process by applying data mining methods to identify patterns in defect data.

To share my experience and knowledge, I have started to give computer science lectures for Bachelor students at university as a side project. My focus is on providing the students with state-of-the-art content, descriptive examples and interactive tasks.
